Your music files will be catalogued automatically (Tag support for AudioCD, mp3, wma, Ogg, TwinVQ, FLAC, AAC, foobar2000, Monkey, OptimFROG, Musepack and True Audio files). Album information for Audio CD's is retrieved from the internet AudioCD database freedb.
Playlists can be created and stored by simply creating keywords and linking these to the music files.

Image viewer supports common image formats such as JPG, JPEG2000, PSD and TIFF and the image types supported by the ImageMagick library.
Image viewer supports Color Management (ICC profiles) to display the image in the most accurate colors.
Generate thumbnail indexes from image files or from a keyword in the database.

LCAMediabase database stores the following information about your files:

Filename and location (foldername and disk volume name)
Metatag information that can be present in image and music files or Microsoft documents
Thumbnails (a small minimized image) for your images.
Free-formatted text description of each file in order to facilitate easy retrieval.
List of keywords that can be linked to files in order to create groups of files. Keywords can be used to create photo albums, playlists, web pages, slideshows etc.
List of all disk volumes (cdrom's etc) that you use. You are able to view the contents of a disk without having to insert the disk into your computer.
